Hyderabad: Taking into cognizance of The Hans India report, the state government on Tuesday sanctioned Rs 65 lakh to repair the sewage network in Borabanda and Rehmatnagar areas.

The government has asked the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB) to take the sewerage repair works on priority.

Talking to The Hans India, deputy mayor and Borabanda corporator Mohammad Baba Fasiuddin said the government has released Rs 65 lakh to take up the sewerage repairing works.

He said the government is committed towards the welfare of the people and will resolve the problem which has been pending for the past 10 years. Fasiuddin thanked The Hans India for reporting the issue and getting sanction to sewerage repair works. It may be worth mentioning here that The Hans India with the title 'Overflowing drains make life miserable' on June 18 and the government responded in less than 48 hours.
