Hyderabad: Tourism Minister A Chandulal on Thursday directed the officials to make all the necessary arrangements for the Samakka-Saralamma Jatara that will be held in Jayashankar Bhupalapally from January 31 to February 3.

The Minister reviewed the works to be taken up for the Jatara with the officials here at the Secretariat. He directed the officials to make all the arrangements and ensure that no inconvenience is caused to the devotees, who would be coming from different States.

Chief Secretary S P Singh said that all the departments should plan and take up works in a coordinated manner. He directed the officials to advertise and put up hoardings to publicise the Jatara worldwide.

He asked the officials to have special focus on hygiene and discussed the various steps necessary to ensure safe drinking water, good toilets, bandobust, lighting, medical facilities, road repairs, traffic management, RTC buses, barricading and others are faultless.

The officials have decided to meet again after two months to hold a special meeting in Warangal. About 10,000 toilets, 4,000 special buses, 4,000 sanitation workers, temporary hospital, enough medicines, CCTV cameras and other facilities would be provided.
