Hyderabad: Minister for Municipal Administration K T Rama Rao on Saturday said the State government was according priority for promotion textile sector. The government, he said, has been extending all help to weavers and the State has stood first in giving incentives to industries.

In his presentation at the Textiles India 2017 in Gujarat, KTR made a special mentioned about Warangal Textile Park and the “unique” policies being implemented by the State government.The government, he said. was industry-friendly.

He said the textile sector was a priority sector for Telangana government. “Along with the giving high priority to the textile sector, we have been helping a lot to give a fillip to weaving sector also,” he said.

Speaking at the session, Union Minister forTextiles Smriti Irani said the Telangana government and the Minister were aliveto the problems facing the textile sector and the government was doing all it can to help the sector to grow. With the efficient leadership, theState would progress, she said. She praised KTR for his impressive presentation on the government’s achievements.

Meanwhile, on the second day in Gujarat, KTR visited the Sabarmathi Ashram. He spent here about one hour and visited Mahatma Gandhi’s residence and school in the Ashram. The school students of Ashram presented a spinning wheel to KTR.
