18,290 new posts sanctioned for Police department
The State government has sanctioned 18,290 new posts in the Police department and permitted filling up of the posts over a period of five years. The government issued an order, G O 121 on Thursday (July 20) to this effect.
​Hyderabad: The State government has sanctioned 18,290 new posts in the Police department and permitted filling up of the posts over a period of five years. The government issued an order, G O 121 on Thursday (July 20) to this effect.
In its order, the government said that the Home Department has proposed creation of 18,290 posts in various wings of the department consequent to the bifurcation, formation of new districts and formation of new Police commissionerates.
Giving its approval for the proposal, the government issued orders for creation of 9629 posts in civil, 5738 posts in Armed Reserve, 2075 posts in Special police, 143 posts in communications, 599 posts in ministerial and 106 posts in allied wings of the department.
The Home Department should take the concurrence of the Finance Department before initiating steps to fill up the posts sanctioned.
