Revanth Reddy extends support to Horticulture students' indefinite strike

Chaos prevailed at the Sri Konda Lakshman Telangana State Horticulture University (SKLTSHU) in Rajendranagar on Wednesday when a large number of policemen foiled the indefinite hunger strike taken up by the students.
The strike has been going on since the past 28 days over the demand of jobs with nearly 400 posts lying vacant in the department and the students said that the government is delaying the recruitments.
The police threatened the students to stop the strike and even took 11 students from the hostels into custody.
Meanwhile, Telangana TDP leader Revanth Reddy has announced his support for the horticulture students in Rajendranagar. He visited the University and staged a protest along with the students. However, tension erupted when Revanth Reddy and his followers were jostled by the police, who tried to stop them from entering the university campus.
