Secunderabad: Lack of communicationbetween Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) authorities and the traffic police in regard the traffic diversions for Ganesh immersion has left passengers stranded at Neredmet on Monday. While the police authorities claimed to have given prior notice, the TSRTC official denied that they had received any communication from the police.

Buses, such as 16 A, 16 A/K, etc., commuting from ECIL to Secunderabad via Malkajgiri were stopped by the police after crossing Neredmet. Passengers in these buses were left in lurch. When passengers questioned the police, the commuters were advised to continue their journey by private vehicles like auto-rickshaws.

Sailaja (42), a stranded passenger, said it was surprising as there was no prior notice at the ECIL bus station regarding any such diversion and everyone had bought their tickets for Secunderabad. “There were more than 20 passengers in the bus,”, she said.
