Gadkari plans a meeting with CMs of TS, AP
Union minister for water resources has planned to call Telangana State and AP Chief Ministers for review of interlinking of rivers as well as for tackling drought and flood issues.
New Delhi: Union minister for water resources has planned to call Telangana State and AP Chief Ministers for review of interlinking of rivers as well as for tackling drought and flood issues.
Gadkari was holding a review meeting here on Tuesday. He asked Ministry officials to look at successful experiments in low cost water conservation and irrigation.
He asked for an expert technical team to study such experiments, new technologies and success stories from States like Rajasthan, Maharashtra, MP, AP, Telangana Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and others in the Deccan regions.
He also called for involving institutions like IIT for developing low cost technologies for water conservation and also flood control. He also asked them to develop policy for recycling of waste water.
