Hyderabad: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State president K Laxman on Monday condemned the comments made by Prof Kancha Ilaiah against the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Laxman said criticising people in the name of caste would lead to unrest in the society. This type of ideology is objectionable and not good for the society. "Prime Minister Narendra Modi is striving for the upliftment of down trodden with a slogan 'Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas'.

It is not proper for the professor to target a person like Modi, who has come from a poor family to become the Prime Minister of the country.

This will not be supported by the society," he said. Laxman said the people have once again proved that they were supporting the party's stand on Liberation Day.

He thanked the people for their support to the Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh's meeting 'Sankalp Sabha' in Nizamabad.
