Hyderabad: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national general Secretary Ram Madhav on Monday said that if there is any scam in a good scheme of the State government then the Centre would inquire and ensure the responsible are sent to jail.

Madhav was replying to a question about national leaders praising State government’s schemes when the state leaders were alleging of scams. Madhav said, “If any Central Minister is saying that the government is doing well then one should remember that there are Central funds involved in those schemes.

Praising should not be seen as political endorsement of Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) party. Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao will also appreciate good works of the Centre.” When asked about the inclusion of TRS in Central cabinet, he said TRS was not part of NDA and hence there was no question of its joining.

Ram Madhav said the Central BJP leaders including party president Amit Shah had told categorically the party was going to go separately. “We are going to go all out against TRS. BJP will fight against the State government’s wrong policies,” he said.

The senior BJP leader opined that there would have been a possibility of scam in Bathukamma sarees. Seeing the way women are burning the sarees, it appears that there is a scam in these Bathukamma sarees, he alleged.

The BJP leader lashed onto the TRS government stating that the party was closely examining the State government here. This government is like Nizam rule.

Since there is a brute majority, the official machinery was misused denying the space to the other political parties and running the government in a fascist manner, he alleged and added that the BJP would fight against such attitude.

Stating that prominent leaders in the State were showing interest in joining the party, Ram Madhav said the BJP has kept its doors open to allow good people to join.
