Hyderabad: Osmania University Vice-Chancellor S Ramachandram said that the financial transactions of different academic departments and wings of the University will be migrated to online mode in a phased manner.

Launching a new online application for obtaining certificates from the examination branch developed in collaboration with the SBI e-pay of the Osmania University here on Monday, Ramachandram said that the user-friendly online service delivery would be given top priority.

However, it would be taken up in a phased manner after taking into consideration the success of the new online system, he added.

He inquired about the different modes of remittances being paid by the colleges, students to the academic, examination and other wings of the University and directed them to ensure quick resolution of technical glitches coming in the way of delivery of services to the students.

The Controller of Examinations Prof Kumar Molugaram said that the new facility has user-friendly navigation with step-by-step instructions to apply for the issue of certificates. After an online registration, students could pay the fee using debit and credit cards.

And, the certificates would be delivered directly at the address given by the applicant. The new facility would also enhance the confidentiality.

He said that users could view the list of certificates and select the certificates required and upload the scanned photographs and other documents in a scanned format for the issue of the
certificate.

Prof Kumar said that the new online service would also help the users in tracking status of the applications received as well as the payment status of each individual certificate applied.

Also, a provision for re-uploading the scanned copies of the documents would be included, if any objections were received from examination branch.

For queries, helpdesk services were also available on all working days from 10.30 AM to 1 PM and 2 PM to 5 PM, he said. Dr Gopal Reddy, Registrar and other senior officials were present on the occasion.
