Congress to use Vijayashanti charm against TRS
Congress has roped in yesteryears actor Vijayashanti to unleash her charm in Telangana to swing voters in favour of the Congress party. The actor, who was accompanied to Delhi by TPCC president Uttam Kumar Reddy, met party\'s vice-president Rahul Gandhi along with R C Khuntia, incharge of Telangana party affairs, in New Delhi on Tuesday.
New Delhi: Congress has roped in yesteryears actor Vijayashanti to unleash her charm in Telangana to swing voters in favour of the Congress party. The actor, who was accompanied to Delhi by TPCC president Uttam Kumar Reddy, met party's vice-president Rahul Gandhi along with R C Khuntia, incharge of Telangana party affairs, in New Delhi on Tuesday. Vijayashanti promised Rahul Gandhi that she would work selflessly for the victory of the Congress party without expecting any position or power, said Khuntia.
She wants to defeat the TRS which was pursuing anti-people policies. “Many people are disgusted with the TRS rule and are willing to join Congress. Revanth Reddy was the first to do so. Several more are expressing interest in joining the party. Congress will always welcome such people from all walks of life,” he said.
