First Metro ride leaves Hyderabadis spellbound

Hyderabad: The sight of the much-awaited metro rail making its way onto the platform left hundreds of passengers spellbound and gleaming with pride. Sliding smoothly as silk over the electromagnetic tracks, metro coaches opened gates to the public who appreciated the sincere efforts put in by the authorities.

Beautiful and spacious interiors of the coaches received several applauses from the commuters who seated themselves near the windows. As the engine sparked to life, the ever-enthusiastic Hyderabadis made every attempt to ensure that they savour and capture the moments on their phone cameras.

" I am traveling with my mother from Uppal to Secunderabad and we are both very much delighted at the way we were guided by the officials at the stations. Soon, I am sure the traffic congestions in the city will be resolved due to metro rails," expresses Kumar, a passenger.

The presence of security cameras within the coaches and safety guidelines instructed on speakers ensured that the passengers had a safe and secured metro rail ride. Ensuring that every citizen reached their right destination, an interactive map of the metro rail’s location was put on display at all the entrances for the public alongside an audio guide which informed them about the upcoming station.

While many enjoyed the serene landscapes of the city, a few passengers who wanted to reach their workplace were worried as the metro rail came to an abrupt halt for a few minutes.
