Hyderabad: Telangana Joint Action Committee(TJAC) Chairman Prof M Kodandaramon Wednesday said the TRS government led by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is afraid of the Telangana Jana Samiti(TJS) because people will come to know facts hence the permission is denied to the public meeting of the party.

Addressing a press conference here, Kodandaram said the TJS has the right to have its meeting anywhere and as per Article 19, it is a fundamental to organise meeting. He alleged that there was feudal type of government functioning in the State, which is against democracy. Kodandaram said the rights provided by the Constitution should be respect and it is the responsibility of the government, which is exactly the meaning of democracy.

The JAC leader expressed doubts whether the people were living in a democratic country. “The government stated that there would be pollution and it can cause inconvenience to the citizens if permission is granted to the public meeting of TJS, but the same authorities gave permission to the film industry people, which did not cause inconvenience to anyone.

We condemn the undemocratic attitude of the government,” said Kodandaram. The JAC leader said the government was afraid of the TJS and hence the authorities were denying permission. It would be a mistake if the government thinks it can win by imposing restrictions, he said.
