Jana pooh-poohs newcomers’ charges
Congress Legislative Party leader K Jana Reddy here on Monday regretted that some newcomers to politics have been making baseless charges against him. They are not aware of his contribution to the Nagarjunasagar constituency.
Tirumalagiri (Nalgonda): Congress Legislative Party leader K Jana Reddy here on Monday regretted that some newcomers to politics have been making baseless charges against him. They are not aware of his contribution to the Nagarjunasagar constituency.
He was participating as a chief guest at the party mandal-level workers meeting in Tirumalagiri mandal headquarters. Jana Reddy said he had ensured that the tribal villages were electrified. Stating that he was more experienced than Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandra Babu Naidu, he recalled that it was he who had taken initiative to eradicate caste system in the constituency.
He had organised community meals programme by inviting N T Rama Rao as a chief guest when the latter was the Chief Minister. In reply to criticism by the ruling party leaders, Jana Reddy said he ensured that irrigation was provided for second crop 17 years ago.
Congress leaders Raghuveer Reddy, Krishna Reddy, Peddi Reddy, Karnati Linga Reddy, Bhagwan Naik, Raja Ramesh, Anthiaiah and party workers participated in the programme.
