A retired SCCL employee had complained to District Collector RV Karnan of harassment being meted out to him by his eldest son, who refused to give Rs 2,000 per month to his father for the latter’s maintenance in spite of inheriting a house from his father. 

Mancherial: A retired SCCL employee had complained to District Collector RV Karnan of harassment being meted out to him by his eldest son, who refused to give Rs 2,000 per month to his father for the latter’s maintenance in spite of inheriting a house from his father.

The Collector participated in the Grievance Day programme at the Collectorate and took petitions from various people. The employee, V Rajanandam, urged the Collector to intervene in the matter and to ensure that he receives a part of the proceeds on the sale of family house to clear debts.

A resident of Posam Royyalapalli urged the Collector for issuance of pattadaar passbook under Rythu Bandhu Scheme for the patta land, she had inherited from her father.

Atkapuram Venkataiah of Tallapalli village sought compensation from the SCCL as his house was inundated during the development of SCCL’s Srirampur open cast mines. Mote Bapu of Kotapalli mandal sought loan from SC Corporation to become self-employed. District Collector RV Karnan and Joint Collector Y Surender Rao and others were present on the occasion.
