Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President Capt. N. Uttam Kumar Reddy alleged that youth and students are the major victims of cheating done by Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar.
Hyderabad : Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President Capt. N. Uttam Kumar Reddy alleged that youth and students are the major victims of cheating done by Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar.
In a live interaction with Congress party workers on social media platform Facebook on Tuesday, Uttam Kumar Reddy said that the TRS Government has failed to provide promised jobs to unemployed youth during the last four years. He said the vacancies which existed in various departments in June 2014 have remained the same in June 2018. He said the promise of giving one job for each family has proved to be a mirage and the KCR did not even fill one lakh vacancies which he promised on the floor of Legislative Assembly. He said lakhs of youth, who have completed their engineering, management and other professional courses, have been waiting for the new jobs. He said that the State Government did not conduct the DSC even once and not a single teacher has been appointed so far.
Uttam Kumar Reddy said that the KCR Government has been trying to divert the attention of jobless youth by making various false claims. Similarly, he said students were the major victims of lethargic attitude of TRS Government. He accused the Chief Minister of playing with the lives and careers of lakhs of students by deliberately delaying the Fee Reimbursement. He said thousands of students either discontinued their higher studies or their parents faced hardship in clearing their fee dues. Likewise, he said that the college managements have refused to hand over certificates to students over Fee Reimbursement dues. He accused KCR of creating utter chaos in the lives of jobless youth and students and said that the Chief Minister has no moral right to seek their votes.
The TPCC Chief asked the party workers to face next Assembly elections. He said that the Congress party was fully ready for polls irrespective of whether they are held in December this year or early next year. He said more than the opposition parties, people of Telangana are desperately waiting for the elections to give a humiliating defeat to TRS and KCR family. He said not a single section of the society was happy with the performance of TRS Government and everyone is waiting to take revenge for the disappointment they faced with KCR and his family members.
Replying to a question from a party worker from Sangareddy, Uttam Kumar Reddy appealed the Muslims to realise that they have been cheated by KCR in the name of 12% reservation. "KCR had promised to give 12% Muslim reservation within four months after coming to power. He did not implement it even after four years and now he is not even talking about it. KCR apparently believes that Muslims can be cheated easily. His government did not spend even half of the funds that were allocated in the budget," he said adding that the Congress party always worked for the empowerment of minorities. He said leaders like Moulana Abul Kalaam Azad became presidents of Congress party while personalities like Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed were made Presidents of India only during Congress rule.
He said that voting for TRS or MIM in next elections would be like voting for BJP. While TRS has been supporting BJP and Prime Minister Narender Modi since beginning, MIM has strengthened the BJP by dividing secular votes in many States. Neither KCR nor Owaisi could defeat Narender Modi in next elections. BJP could be defeated at the national level only by the Congress party and minorities, especially Muslims, could get protection and rights only if Rahul Gandhi becomes the Prime Minister.
The TPCC chief said that the Chief Minister also failed to fulfill promises of making a Dalit CM, three acres of land for Dalits or 12% reservation for STs. He said women faced discrimination and neglect under TRS regime which did not even had a woman minister in KCR cabinet. He said Women's Self Help Groups were completely crushed and discouraged by the TRS Government.
Replying to a question about former minister Danam Nagender leaving the Congress party, Uttam Kumar Reddy announced that he would soon conduct a meeting with the leaders and workers of Khairtabad constituency. However, he said that it was the responsibility of each and every party worker to ensure party's victory from Khairtabad in next elections. He also expressed regret that Nagender has read out the script given by TRS alleging injustice with BCs in the Congress party. He said out of 37 Presidents of State Congress, including the PCC of undivided AP, as many as 27 belonged to weaker sections. He said only Congress party could ensure social justice while TRS was a family party and no BC, SC, ST or minority community member could ever become its president.
Uttam Kumar Reddy also elaborated on the failures of TRS Government in helping the farming sector. He said that the farmers were denied proper MSP or other support. The crop loan waiver scheme was erroneous and failed to take out farmers from the debt trap. However, only in view of elections, TRS Govt came up with 'Rythu Bandhu' scheme which again is proving beneficial only for the rich farmers while a majority of poor farmers are still in huge crisis.
The TPCC Chief urged all workers to enrol themselves with Shakti App to strengthen the party at organisational level. Further, he asked them to make effective use of social media to reach the masses.
