Hanamkonda: The BJP senior leaders have called upon the party cadres in erstwhile Warangal district to make ‘Praja Chaitanya Yatra’, launched by the party State president K Laxman, a grand success. A meeting of the party national, state and district office bearers was held in Hanamkonda on Monday to discuss the arrangements for the yatra.

Addressing the party workers and leaders, party national general secretary P Sekhar Rao said the yatra has been evoking tremendous response from public. The yatra was meant to expose the failures of the TRS government led by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, who was amassing the wealth. The CM has been claiming credit for the central funds and schemes while contributing nothing from the side of the State government, he alleged.

The Central government, led by PM Narandra Modi, has been implementing as many as 130 welfare schemes across the nation. But the State government was intentionally not implementing the central schemes and diverting the funds, Sekhar Rao complained. All these issues were being explained to public during the state-wide yatra, he noted.

He wanted huge public mobilisation for the public meeting scheduled to be held in Hanamkonda at Kakatiya Government Degree College on July 5. The party state general secretary M Srinivasulu said 17 wings have been set up to look after the meeting arrangements.

The party Warangal Urban district president Rao Padma presided over the meeting while the district in-charge Meesala Chandraiah, leaders Dr Vijayalakshmi, G Yadagiri, R Amarender Reddy, K Santhosh Reddy, S Jagadishwar, T Kumara Swamy, P Rajendra Prasad and others were present.
