GHMC employees strike enters 2nd day

Hyderabad: Greater Hyderabad Municipal Employees Union (GHMEU) continued with the strike at GHMC Head Office for 2nd-day on Thursday. All the outsourcing workers stopped their work and joined the strike making the strike a success in all the circles of GHMC.
GHMEU president Gopal stated that the union was demanding regularization of service of outsourcing employees, Allotment of houses sites to the permanent employees, issue of health cards to the permanent employees of GHMC. Regarding the union issues meeting held here on Thursday in the chamber of Commissioner attend by Dana Kishore, Commissioner GHMC and other GHMC officials, GHMEU issues and grievance were discussed and the union demanded to solve certain issues immediately.
Kishore gave certain instructions in accordance which, the Head of the Department offer union’s remarks on the implementations and also gave suggestions if any on the issue with regard to their subjects. After receiving the report from the HODs on the above issues the decision would be taken as a possibility.
