Tandur: A senior journalist J Amruthaiah passed away after suffering from illness, here on Friday. He had been working in a Telugu daily for last 22 years. Journalists garlanded his portrait at Ambedkar Chowk and paid tributes. TUWJ leaders Prabhakar, Ravishankar, Lingesh recollected memories with the late scribe that he had always been a good human being and a perfect professional.

They expressed grief over the death of their colleague due to brain tumour disease. President of the association G Ashok Kumar promised to extend financial assistance to the deceased through Press Academy of Telangana. Congress leader Dr Sampath, BJP leader U Ramesh Kumar, TDP leader Raju Goud and senior journalists Srinivasa Chary, Ramesh, Laxman, Narsimha Reddy, Naresh, Venkatesh, Narsimulu, Sudhakar, Ashok, Basaiah, Krishna and Mukund Reddy, Ramchander and others were present.
