Kothagudem: Expressing his agony over the pitiable condition of contract workers, CITU State vice president (Singareni) Y Krishnaiah on Tuesday said that neither the SCCL management nor the TRS government is interested in solving the problems of workers.

He was addressing a meeting of SCCL contract workers on Tuesday in the coal town. He said for many years the contract working have been toiling at very nominal salaries. They had hoped that the TRS government would hike their salaries and give them some relief.

But Chief Minister K Chandrasekar Rao is not taking interest to solve their problems. He did not ask the SCCL management to give salaries to them, as was promised.

He said, the Chief Minister KCR failed to implement the poll promises in the Singareni. In the ensuing elections the people will definitely reject the TRS party. He said the CITU always fight for the interest of contract workers.

He also criticised the company’s management for the not giving salaries on par with that of the Cola India to the contract workers. CITU leaders Kiran, Ramu, Shafi, Pasha, and others attended the meeting.
