Nalgonda: Electoral staff and special officers of Gram Panchayats have started door-to-door voter registration in the district on Sunday. The programme was carried out in all 31 mandals and municipalities in the district.
As a part of the programme special officers, BLOs, Anganwadis’ carried out the survey to create awareness among the people on registration of votes, who attained 18 years by January 1, 2018 and any modifications of existing votes.
Meanwhile, District Collector Gaurav Uppal has examined the door to door campaign programme at Ravindranagar in Nalgonda town and collected information from the officials about response from the people to the programme.
Later he examined the voter registration seeding program at Nalgonda RDO and Tahasildar offices in Nalgonda and guided the officials with valuable suggestions.
RDO Jagadish Reddy and other officials accompanied the collector. Meanwhile, JC Naryana Reddy visited the polling booth located at Yatakanna Reddy colony in the town.
