Revanth Reddy pooh-poohs CM KCR’s claim

Quthbullapur: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) working president Revanth Reddy on Sunday blasted caretaker Chief Minister and TRS chief K Chandrashekar Rao, accusing him of cheating the four crore people of the State.
Addressing the Congress minorities ‘Atmiya Sammelanam’ in Gajularamaram, along with AICC secretary Bosaraju, MLC Shabbir Ali and former MP Sarvey Satyanarayana, Revanth Reddy felt that KCR should be put in Andaman jail for driving car (party symbol) drunk with power. “When the police jail drunk drivers of cars and two-wheelers, should not KCR be sent to prison?” he asked the gathering.
Reddy wanted voters to note the tone and tenor of KCR’s speeches with the Assembly polls just 60 days away. He ridiculed CM’s claim of winning 110 seats wondering how people would vote TRS after the government failed to honour election promises made by the party. The Congress leader posed questions to KCR whether he had made SC the CM, allotted three-acre land to each SC family and double bedroom houses, provided one lakh jobs.
Reddy alleged that after the TRS won 63 seats in the 2009 elections KCR ‘purchased’ MLAs from other parties to take the number to 100. Charging KCR with nepotism, he claimed that the CM provided jobs to four members of his family but failed to do anything for the people. “KCR failed to interact with and feed families of Telangana martyrs so far. Why will people vote for you?” Reddy wondered. The Congress leader accused KCR of being mean, of letting down Sonia Gandhi after she agreed to concede Telangana demand and for using abusive language against her. He warned that people were watching CM’s, “gimmicks and would ensure his sound defeat in 60 days.”
Earlier, the Congress leaders arrived at the venue from the Municipal Grounds in a bike rally. Reddy, Shabbir Ali, Satyanarayana were seated in a “rath.” Former MLA Kuna Srisailam Goud chaired the meeting. Goud pointed out that the Congress party had offered many boons to the minorities, including four per cent reservations, while KCR had “cheated them by failing to offer 12 per cent quota.” Among those present were Congress minorities cell chairman Fakruddin, Kuna Mahalakshmi Charitable Trust chairman Kuna Srinivas Goud, Jahangirbhai and Nayab Rasool and several Muslims.
