Hyderabad: The Telangana Rashtra Samithi leaders on Monday ridiculed the allegations levelled by BJP leader Ram Madhav that TRS government was second most-corrupt government in the country after Tamil Nadu government and alleged that the two national parties, the BJP and Congress, were unable to digest the emergence of regional parties.

Addressing a press conference at Telangana Bhavan along with MLC M Sreenivas Reddy, MP B Vinod Kumar condemned the BJP leader’s comments that the TRS government was second most-corrupt government after Tamil Nadu government. Vinod said that until now the BJP used to target the Congress party for Bofors scam and now the Congress has been targeting BJP for Rafale deal.

“These two parties do not like emergence of regional parties and only they want to rule the country,” said Vinod, adding that the testimony to the rule of TRS was compliment from all the union ministers and also the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who appreciated Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao in the Parliament.

The TRS leader took exception to the allegations of the BJP leader that the Telangana Chief Minister does not go to Secretariat, and runs the government from the camp office. Vinod said that even the Prime Minister does not go to his office.

“The TRS delegations have many a times met the Prime Minister at Seven Race Course instead of his office in South Block, does that mean the Prime Minister is not working?” asked Vinod. The TRS MP further added that the dissolution of the Assembly before the completion of the term has not happened for the first time.

He recalled that former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee had gone for early elections in the name of Shining India and Narendra Modi too in 2002. Vinod said that the people would not believe the BJP leaders and added said that the Centre had not given a single rupee to Telangana. “Even the funds under Swachh Bharat were not given to Telangana,” Vinod said, adding that the TRS has minimised the political corruption.
