Hyderabad: City-based Sutikaari artist Gyaneshwar Kamblekar has been included in Telugu Book of Records for his unique paintings without the use of any paint or brush. Sutikari is all about a piece of art that is made of thread or cloth. Gyaneshwar, in his own style of art, doesn't use a single brush or colour to paint an image. All he uses is pieces of cloth to create the beauty.

The Telugu Book of Records has given the 'Certificate of National Records' for Sutikaari’s art. The founder-president of Telugu Book of Records Chintapatla Venkata Chary said that the award has been given to Gyneshwar Kamblekar for his unique form of art. "In his own style of art, he creates arts and images without any paint or the use of brush. The creative skill has been recognised by the Telugu Book of Records," he said. Gyaneshwar has a wide variety of art collection. He had organised an art exhibition by launching his unique art to the world. He said that the art has been the result of his hard work in the last two decades. He has made paintings of former Home Minister of India Sardar Vallab Bhai Patel, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, K Kavitha and other personalities.

A solo exhibition of the art work of Gyaneshwar was held in 2017, and it was inaugurated by Minister Padma Rao and Katherine B Hadda, consul general, US Consulate, at Marriott Hotel. His exhibition featured 25 artworks, each with its own beauty and meaning. And out of these 25 art pieces, the majority of the paintings are of women. Gyaneshwar said that he wanted to showcase the importance of women through his work. "I am always passionate about art. Right from my schooling, I have been so much into art. India is full of artists. I hail from a middle-class family, and in order to stand out of the box from other artists I came up with a unique art and today it turns out to be my signature style of work," said the self-taught artist.

Gyaneshwar only uses velvet cloth and has a collection of almost 50 different colours of cloth material. There are a few art pieces, for which he toiled for six to eight months to create. He uses numerous pieces of cloth to create one image. The minimum time required for one basic size of painting is almost two months. He has an experience of almost 30 years in the field of art, and the 55-year-old man is now hitting the market with his creative skills.
