Power to People’s Front will plunge State into darkness, charges KCR
Chief Minister and TRS president K Chandrashekar Rao on Monday said that if Mahakutami comes to power, there would be darkness in the State He asked the people not to believe propaganda of Congress party on irrigation projects
Hyderabad: Chief Minister and TRS president K Chandrashekar Rao on Monday said that if Mahakutami comes to power, there would be darkness in the State. He asked the people not to believe propaganda of Congress party on irrigation projects.
Addressing meetings in different constituencies, Chandrashekar Rao said that the farmers and people in the State were happy with the 24-hour power supply in the State. “If the Congress party comes into power, there will be no power and people will have to buy inverters, generators again,” said Rao in the Kamareddy meeting.
The Chief Minister recalled that TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu wrote 35 letters opposing the irrigation projects in Telangana. People would have to think how they can vote to such leaders, he cautioned.
The TRS president questioned the Congress party whether 70 years were not sufficient to provide free power. “Chandrababu who claims putting Hyderabad on world map did not provide power. He too did not give power and former Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy predicted darkness in Telangana but TRS government overcame power crisis in few months after coming to power,” said Rao. He asked the people to compare the situation of power during the Congress, TDP and TRS governments. There is no 24-hour power even in Andhra Pradesh and only Telangana was giving 24-hour free power to the farmers, he said.
Speaking in Jagtial meeting, the Chief Minister said that TRS was going to come to power in Telangana. “If you want to continue the pace of the development and welfare activities, you have to vote for TRS. You should not get confused during elections. Think who will develop and then vote,” said the TRS chief. There are only two sides - Congress-TDP and TRS. There is no need to bother about others, he said.
Speaking in Balkonda meeting, the TRS chief listed out various government schemes and wanted the people to vote for TRS to continue the development programmes. He assured the people of Balkonda of providing water to 1.10 lakh acres. He said that it was not good on part of the Congress party to do politics on irrigation projects. He called upon the people not to believe propaganda of Congress party. He said that turmeric research board would come up in Nizamabad. He promised regularising services of IKP women, providing food processing units to women groups etc.
Stating that he had won every war he had taken up, Chandrashekar Rao said he would ensure STs and Muslims get 12 per cent reservations. He said that there is a need for Federal Front in the country. “We should win all the 17 Lok Sabha seats. Owaisi (Asaduddin) will definitely win and if we win 16 seats, we can achieve reservations in the same way we achieved Telangana,” said Rao.
He also targeted BJP chief Amit Shah for opposing reservations. “Amit Shah says they will not give reservations. His words will not have any value here... there is a wave in Telangana... wherever I am going over 70,000 people are coming to the meeting and TRS is going to win over 100 seats,” said Rao.
