Quthbullapur: About 500 NSUI activists of Medchal district, including the organising secretary and members Bipin, Prasad, Navin Raju, under the leadership of Gajularamaram corporator Ravula Seshagiri Rao, joined TRS in the presence of MLC Sambipur Raju and constituency TRS candidate K P Vivekanand on Wednesday. The activists said they were attracted by development work undertaken by the ruling party. Among those present were mandal TRS president Nagaraj Yadav, TRSV leaders Prithvi, Navin, Nadeem, Dinesh, Shekhar, Sunny, Suryaprakash and Srikanth.

Addressing the activists, Vivekanand advised them to strive for taking the TRS works to the notice of voters, so as to enable the party emerge victorious with a big majority. Speaking at Gagillapur village during campaigning, MLC and Vivekanand called upon voters not to get cheated by the Mahakutami leaders as development and welfare schemes taken up by the TRS government were visible. They stated that many people belonging to various sections were being benefitted by the government schemes, while advising voters to drive away the opposition leaders for making false promises and to think before voting. The two leaders asserted that ‘looters of public wealth’ had formed Mahakutami and if they were elected the State would plunge in darkness.

Raju and Vivekanand expressed confidence that people would teach a fitting lesson to the opposition by ensuring a big win for the car symbol. Among those present were ZP vice-chairman Prabhakar Reddy, Nagaraj Yadav, MPTC Sunita Sanjiva Reddy, mandal Rythu Samakhya coordinator Gopal Reddy, senior leaders Jairaj Reddy, Shankar Naik, former sarpanch Narsimha Goud, Balraj, former MPTC Balka Reddy, M Gopal, Murali, Jahanjir and Raju.
