Congress leader and contestant from Gadwal constituency DK Aruna has criticised TRS chief and caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for the arrest of Congress working president and candidate from Kodangal Revanth Reddy
Gadwal: Congress leader and contestant from Gadwal constituency DK Aruna has criticised TRS chief and caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for the arrest of Congress working president and candidate from Kodangal Revanth Reddy.
Speaking at a press meet here on Tuesday, Aruna said that the suppressive attitude of KCR was clearly visible when he had arrested the two-time MLA candidate Revanth Reddy at mid-night like that arresting terrorists.
What wrong has Revanth done and why he was arrested? she questioned. TRS chief KCR and his party leaders have to answer the people, she demanded.
The Congress leader alleged that the TRS chief has been using the government machinery and police force to suppress and threaten
the Opposition leaders, which indicates that KCR was afraid of losing the elections.
She alleged that KCR and his party leaders are using police force in mufti to distribute money to the people in the villages. “If KCR is so confident of winning these elections, why he is distributing money? People should not listen to KCR’s deceiving talks,” Aruna advised.
“There is no one in politics, who can lie better than KCR. Not a single promise he made during 2014 elections were fullfilled and now again he is coming with variousnew promises and seeking the votes of Telangana people,” she added.
Adding further, Aruna said KCR has no love for Gadwal but because of the agitations and pressure from the people, he was forced to convert Gadwal into a new district.
The Congress leader alleged that during the four-and-half year tenure, KCR had not met even a single elected MLA from the Opposition parties. “The recent arrest of Revanth Reddy was one of the atrocious and dangerous acts of KCR. The people have realised his dictatorial attitude now and will teach KCR a befitting lesson in the coming elections, Aruna stated.
