Hyderabad: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has asked the people of Telangana to vote Bharatiya Janata Party to power to make the State free from the shadows of Nizam’s rule still continuing. Addressing a series of public meetings on the last day of the campaign trail at Madhole in Nirmal, Karimnagar, Bhupalpally and Bodhan in Nizamabad district, he said Telangana was a sacred land, because, once it was the abode of Lord Rama during his 14-year exile.

Further, people of Telangana had to face several hardships in their fight for separate State. “There is no dearth of natural and human resources in Telangana. However, the Congress and the Telugu Desam which had ruled the major part of the time in the united Andhra Pradesh have failed to implement suitable schemes to give a fillip to agriculture, creation of job opportunities and development of the State. Similarly, TRS talks big things.

But, it had failed to do anything big to bring qualitative changes in the lives of people of the State. Besides, it has been depriving people of the State the benefits of the Central schemes,” he alleged. “Development was not part of their main agenda. So, they could not provide good governance. When development of people and good governances are not part of the agenda of political parties, they cannot think and have a nationalistic spirit in their agendas,” the UP Chief Minister said.

Adding that he had gone through the election manifestos of Congress, TDP, TRS and other parties, he said the parties claimed to be secular, but their election manifestos showed that they were driven by communalism.
“They don’t understand the ‘Sarva Dharma Sama Bhavana’ (treating all faiths equally) which is the spirit of this country. Every citizen irrespective of his/her community, gender, religion etc, should be extended the fruits of development. However, the Congress, TRS and TDP cannot do it, as they don’t believe in democracy since most of them are dynasty-driven parties,” he said.

Yogi also attributed the problems like Naxalism and the name of Telangana figuring in certain incidents related to the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) of Pakistan trying to take roots in the State. But, the family-run parties have no vision to see beyond amassing wealth and the good of their families. This was the reason why they could not fulfil the aspirations of people and gave in to the pressure of the AIMIM, and also failed to guarantee the safety and security of people.

“Contrary to this, BJP is the only party which shuns the dynastic politics and PM Narendra Modi’s government at the Centre launching development and welfare schemes to reach out to every one irrespective of their community, gender, region, religion and language,” he said, appealing the voters to bring BJP to power to fight against the AIMIM and for the faster pace of development in the State.
