Mahbubnagar: Stage is set for which the people had been waiting for. They will decide the fate of all the candidates and give their votes whom they prefer to be sent to the Assembly to represent them in the 119-member House in the State capital Hyderabad.

In Maoist-affected Kothagudem district, voting in all the 999 polling stations of the district will be completed one hour earlier than the usual time.
The police are extra cautious and are not going to give any chance to Maoists to disturb the smooth conduct of elections in the district. Here, polling that will commence at 7 am will conclude at 4pm.

According to District Collector Rajat Kumar Saini, 4,404 polling personnel have been deployed in the district. As many as 500 polling stations will be monitored by digital surveillance teams. About 300 CCTV cameras have been installed while web casting will be done at 130 polling stations.

In Khammam, tight security arrangements are made by deploying police forces from district police besides cops from Chattisgarh and para-military police forces from the Centre at 1,306 polling stations in the district.

In about 688 polling stations, web-casting will be done. In addition, CCTV cameras are installed in 331 polling stations for supervising the poling process, he added.

In erstwhile district of Nalgonda also, all arrangements are made to conduct the polls. The Collector reviewed the preparations with poll officials and inspected the polling stations on Thursday.

Meanwhile police seized Rs 13.30 lakh unaccounted cash from aTata Ace vehicle at Aliar check post during the inspection. The auto was heading towards Torrur of erstwhile Warangal district from Hyderabad and case was filed on driver of the auto.

In Mahbubnagar, out of 1312 polling stations across five major constituencies in the district, the Election Commission has decided to covert 15 polling stations into model polling stations.

In these polling stations all facilities like drinking water, power, wheel chairs for physically handicapped are arranged. The EC is also providing to and fro travel facilities for the disabled and old age in all these polling stations.
