Hyderabad: Cyberabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar on Monday exhorted people to celebrate the New Year eve peacefully. He was speaking in a meeting with managements of star hotels, bar and restaurants, farm houses, and resorts who organize events for New Year. He said that efforts were being taken to ensure that no accidents occur on December 31 night. He expressed his anguish at the loss of precious lives every year during new year celebrations. He said that because of preventive measures taken by police last year, no accident was reported.

Police commissioner said that this year too preventive measures would be taken to curb accidents and any untoward incidents. He appealed to the people to celebrate the day as ‘zero accident day’ and ‘incident-free day’. He said that it has come to notice that some anti-social activities were being conducted at some resorts and star hotels. He warned of taking strict legal action against them if any such incidents were reported. He urged media to cooperate with police in this regard and help in maintaining law and order in the city.
