Nirmal: Nirmal District Collector M Prashanti on Friday directed the district officials to create awareness among farmers and people on protection groundwater.

Addressing one-day training programme on Groundwater Issue and Management, the Collector stressed the need to ensure that the groundwater is not depleted .

Deputy Director Groundwater Department M Srinvas, Irrigation Department Executive Engineer Ramesh, Scientist Vidyadhar Madhusudhan and District Agriculture Officer D Ameresh Kumar APO Naveen were present.
