Hawala cash of Rs 50 lakh seized, 3 held

The Madhapur police on Saturday arrested three men for allegedly transporting Rs 50 lakh cash in their car. The trio identified as Pavan, Chandra and Venu were interrupted by the police at D-Mart when they were heading to Madhapur from ECIL carrying the cash.

As they failed to produce any documents related to the cash, the police seized it and handed over to the Income Tax Department. The cash is reported to have belonged to one Vivek and the police are ascertaining the source of the cash.
