Parigi: The district leader of CPM, M Venkataiah,has appealed to BC associations and people’s representatives to attend a protest programme demanding withdrawal of the ordinance by state government regarding reservations in ensuing Panchayat polls. The dharna will be held in front of the District Collectorate in the morning by CPM and BLF, he said.
He demanded that 34% for BCs in Panchayats in the Vikarabad district should be continued this time also. He said that BCs would be affected by the ordinance issued by the government. Apart from continuing 34% reservations, the government should categorise them so that MBCs and other communities should also represent Panchayats, he demanded.
