Sanchi Stupa replica to be unveiled tomorrow

Mahendra Hills: A replica of the Amravati Stupa located at Amravati village in Andhra Pradesh is going to be inaugurated at Mahabodhi Buddha Vihara at Mahendra Hills on Sunday.

The holy relic is enshrined in the stupa, and it will become a Mahastupa and the Vihara will have a rare privilege of having a Datugarbha Stupa, an object of worship for all, say the authorities.

A group of over 200 Buddhist monks from both India and abroad will carry out continuous Patthana Chanting spread over three days. The enshrinement ceremony will be led by Venerable Bhikkhu Bodhi Maha Thero.
