Karimnagar: The women police personnel must improve their professional skills and must be ready to take up duties under various departments they are assigned to, suggested Commissioner of Police VB Kamalasan Reddy. The top cop held a meeting with the receptionists of all police stations present under the Commissionerate limits at Police Commissionerate in Karimnagar on Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion, the CP said that as part of uniform service delivery, women police personnel must be aware of delivering various kinds of services of various police departments. She Teams will be strengthened from February under the Commissionerate limits and only those, who are physically fit and active, will be deployed as members of She Teams. Dressed in different attires carrying modern equipment, the She Team members will keep continuous vigil on eve-teasers and miscreants to nab them as soon as they misbehave with girls and women.

The She Team members will be changed for every three months based on their performance. To make women police as Women Commandos, a special training ‘Krav Maga’, a military self-defence and fighting system developed for Israel Defence Forces and Israeli Security Forces, will be given to them along with training in vehicle driving to drive patrolling vehicles.

Stringent action as per law would be taken against persons, who misbehave and tease girls and women. The victims must convey information through various social media platforms to the police personnel for taking immediate action against the miscreants and eve-teasers.

The women police are going to organise Squad Parade on the occasion of Republic Day on January 26. The Commissioner told the women cops to rehearse perfectly from January 18, to participate in the parade well.
