Agnes D’Cruz Rajesh’s mind is her palette, the colours her emotions, and each brush stroke, a visual expression of those emotions on canvas. Her themes always revolve around elements of nature and life.Her works are a continual attempt of an in-depth analysis of the definition of life. She is happiest when connected with and around nature.

This subject makes up the largest part of her artworks, and she has created art in impressionistic as well as abstract styles. Her works are recognisable by the play of textures merged into the colour play.She says, "My interest in art is from childhood. I hold a diploma in commercial arts/graphic design from Mumbai. I completed my course in 1993."The year 2014 brought about a turning point in the life of Agnes, she says, "I immersed myself completely into painting. I joined MFA, became a member of the Hyderabad Art Society and set out on a journey of art with my friends, participated in numerous group exhibitions in India and overseas."

Her inspiration comes from nature she says, “I have been always inspired by nature. There's always a story waiting to be revealed wherever you find nature. That's what I capture on canvas and I have been a full-time artist here since 2014 after my art was noticed by Jayasri Burman."
About her current exhibition titled 'My Canvas Stories,' she says, "This is a metamorphosis of thoughts, a play of colours portrayed on canvas.

The painting series showcased here are - tropical forests, feelings and emotions, and monkey mind. As my hands paint, my mind also captures my thoughts in words, some of which are displayed along with the paintings."Agnes was the recipient of the Hyderabad City Level, Woman Emerging Artist Award from the Prafulla Dahanukar Art Foundation in 2016. Her art has also been selected and displayed at various prestigious exhibitions across the country and overseas.
