Villagers launch walkathon demanding Bhunidu be made mandal headquarters
The villagers of Bhunidu have launched a walkathon from their village on Sunday heading towards Mahbubnagar district collectorate to press for the demand of making their village as headquarters by separating it from the existing Maddur mandal
Mahbubnagar: The villagers of Bhunidu have launched a walkathon from their village on Sunday heading towards Mahbubnagar district collectorate to press for the demand of making their village as headquarters by separating it from the existing Maddur mandal.
As Maddur mandal is far away from Bhunidu village and already Bhunidu having all the resources to be made into a mandal headquarters, the villagers including youngsters and members of various associations along with local leaders of various parties have launched a long march from their village to Mahbubnagar to press for their demand.
With the village already having more than 10,000 population, the people of this village are demanding their village be made a new mandal. The villagers who had launched the walk will reach Mahbubnagar tomorrow, where they will meet the District Collector and give their representation with all their demands.
