Panchayatraj and Rural Development Principal Secretary Vikasraj released the notification on February 16. He directed the officials to complete the process of creation of new mandals and reorganisation of MPTCs on or before February 25.
There were 33 mandal parishats in the erstwhile district. The government has already created some new mandals in Rangareddy, Vikarabad and Medchal districts. It is learned that some more new mandals would be created for the sake of good governance. After the completion of process officials would conduct the elections.
Deputy CEO Devasahayam said that there would be one MPTC for 3,000-4,000 population. The population data would be taken from the 2011 Census.
It has been reported that the meeting, which was supposed to be held on Tuesday was postponed.
