BJP offers chaddar for Ajmer Dargah
State BJP president Dr K Laxman, handed over a chaddar on behalf of the partys state unit to the spokesman of the Telangana BJP Mir Firasath Ali Baqri on the occasion of the 807th Annual Urs anniversary of Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chisthi Ajmer in Rajasthan
Charminar: State BJP president Dr K Laxman, handed over a chaddar on behalf of the party’s state unit to the spokesman of the Telangana BJP Mir Firasath Ali Baqri on the occasion of the 807th Annual Urs (anniversary) of Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chisthi (Ajmer) in Rajasthan.
Speaking to the media here on Monday, Firasath Ali described Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti as one of the greatest symbols of Sufism, which showed the path of peaceful coexistence to millions of Indians. "Garib Nawaz is an icon of Indian spiritual teachings and practices. His teachings of universal brotherhood will continue to guide us in times to come," he added. Sardar Inderpal Singh, Mohd Hashim Hussain, Abbas Raza Khan, Shamsuddin, Humayun Jaffery and others were also present on the occasion.
