Botcha says decision after 'studying legal aspects'

Hyderabad: Though the two ministers Dharmana Prasada Rao and Sabitha Indra Reddy announced their resignations from the council of ministers on Monday, Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy is yet to take a final decision on the issue.

So far the Chief Minister has not forwarded their resignations to the Governor for acceptance. When asked about it, PCC president Botcha Satyanarayana said that the government would take a final decision after studying legal aspects. He said the two ministers were important leaders in the party and they were neither sacked nor were they asked to resign. The Chief Minister will take appropriate action at appropriate time, he added.

Meanwhile, it is learnt that Dharmana had asked his personal security staff attached to him to go back since he was no more a minister. But the security staff refused to do so saying that they have no official communication from their officers.

Meanwhile, Agriculture Minister Kanna Lakshminarayana on Tuesday asserted that he was not tainted. Kanna, who was in the Capital, told mediapersons accused TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu of indulging in mudslinging and character-assassination, unable to counter him politically.
