National seminar on Mission Kakatiya impact at KU tomorrow

Hanamkonda: Aiming to study and highlight the State government’s flagship programme Mission Kakatiya’ impact at ground level, the department of social work of Kakatiya University is organising a two-day national seminar.

The seminar titled ‘Mission Kakatiya: New Hope for Sustainable rural Development in Telangana State’ will be held on November 25 and 26 at the university Senate Hall. Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), New Delhi, ICSSR Southern Region and TSCHE are sponsoring the event.

Speaking to press persons in Hanamkonda on Wednesday, the seminar Director Prof T Srinivas informed that the government advisor (Irrigation) R Vidyasagar Rao will inaugurate the seminar while KU Vice-Chancellor Prof R Sayanna will preside over the inaugural ceremony. Prof C Ganesh of Osmania University would deliver the keynote address.

The TSCHE Chairman Prof T Papi Reddy, professors from different universities S Srinivas, N Ramulu, Uma Mohan and M Hanumantha Rao will deliver lectures, Prof Srinivas informed.

Large number of delegates from Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala states will take part and present research papers at the seminar. The main objective of the seminar is to dwell upon the various aspects of Mission Kakatiya being implemented in Telangana State.
