Jagtial: After inspecting Jagtial Area Hospital on Thursday, District Collector A Sharath expressed content that he observed a few changes in providing medical services to the patients compared to earlier.

‘I am very happy for the health officials have followed my suggestions about the types of methods to be adopted in providing medical services to the poor patients in several meetings held recently’.

He told the health officials to continue their good work by visiting the hospitals regularly and attending the patients to provide better services. He also advised the medical officers to create awareness among the patients for purchasing medicines in the Generic shops only.

During his inspection, the Collector ordered the health officials for installing name plates in front of every room mentioning the details of the doctor visiting that particular room.

He also told them to install a complaint box in the hospital to receive complaints on medical services provided by the doctors. “I will keep the key with me,” he added. He felt that he could go through all the complaint regularly to take immediate actions.The Collector interacted with patients and asked about the services provided to them.

A 'Sreemantham' programme was organised for the all pregnant women in the hospital in the presence of the Collector.
District Medical and Health Officer (DM&HO) Sugandini, Deputy DM&HO Jaipal Reddy, Hospital Superintendent Ashok and other medical officers were present.
