Efficient home guards to get rewards

Karimnagar: The Home guards, who discharge their duties efficiently, will be given rewards, Police Commissioner V B Kamalasan Reddy announced.
The Police Commissioner held a meeting with home guards at Open Air Theatre of Late John Wilson Memorial in the Commissionerate Centre here on Wednesday.

The Commissioner told the home guards not to feel inferior considering their jobs as lower grade. They are one of the wings of police department. The services of home guards with technical skills and knowledge would be utilised in the concerned police departments.

The Commissioner appreciated the home guards, who have been discharging their duties with commitment and responsibility under the Commissionerate limits. The home guards, who are interested to work in SHE teams, asked to give their names.

Stating that the problems arise due to districts re-organisation will be solved very shortly, he asked them to bring to his notice if they have any problems without any hesitation.

Disciplinary action will be taken on home guards, who are irresponsible and negligent while discharging their duties, warned Commissioner Kamalasan Reddy.

Additional Commissioner of Police T Annapurna, Reserve Inspector Gangadhar and Reserve Sub-inspector of Police Srisailam were present along with the home guards under commissionerate limits.
