Warangal: For the first time in the State, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) Warangal telecom district has launched ‘Fibre to the home’ (FTTH) services offering high speed broadband internet connections to the citizens in the city.

The services were being offered in association with a local multiple-system operator (MSO), D Net Communications.The BSNL Telangana Circle Chief General Manager L Anatharam has launched the services in the presence of Principal General Manager K Narender and D Net Communications Managing Director S Chandrashekar here on Wednesday.

The officials informed that the FTTH offers high speed internet services along with landline phone facility to the subscribers. Currently there were two tariff plans on the offer. Rs. 645 for 50 GB data with 10 mbps speed and Rs. 1,045 for 100 GB with 20 mbps speed.

A landline phone with desired number of the subscribers would be given to the customers. Rs 5,000 worth modem would be provided on purchase or rental basis. The modem would be given for Rs 3,500 to the customers who subscribes for yearly plan.

Yearly plan customers would get two months free service and they need to pay for 10 months only. Free voice calls could be made from 9 pm to 7 am and the calls could be made free of cost for 24 hours to any network on every Sunday, informed Principal General Manager Narender.

The BNSL currently has 10,000 broadband customers and they target to reach one lakh households soon across the district. With the introduction of the FTTH the BSNL guarantees quality services backed by a team of personnel to address any service related complaints.

The BSNL introduced Rs 139 STV with unlimited calls to any BSNL connection and 300 MB data and Rs 339 STV with 1 GB data, both with 28 days validity, Narender added. Deputy General Manager Veera Hanumanulu and staff were present at the FTTH launch.
