The Telangana Photo Journalist Association (TPJA)’s Warangal Urban and Rural districts’ unit came into being here on Thursday.
Hanamkonda: The Telangana Photo Journalist Association (TPJA)’s Warangal Urban and Rural districts’ unit came into being here on Thursday.
Speaking at the election of the TPJA twin districts’ association held at the TNGO Building here, TPJA State president G Bhaskar emphasised the relevance of photo journalists in the Fourth Estate’s role in the democracy. “Formation of TPJA unit in Warangal, the next destination after State capital Hyderabad, is a welcome sign,” he said.
Warangal Press Club president Gaddam Keshava Murthy, TUWJ State vice-president BR Lenin, TPJA leaders Vinay Kumar, Chinna Yadagiri Goud and G Venkat were among others present.
The elected members: President Gokarapu Shyam Kumar (The Hans India), vice-presidents Chakinala Shyam (Namasthe Telangana) and Dasari Srinivasulu (Andhra Jyothy), general secretary Sampeta Sudhakar (Andhra Jyothy), secretary Gotte Venkanna (Namasthe Telangana), treasurer Manganuru Murali (The Hindu), executive members – B Srinivas (Praja Tantra), Md Mashuk Shareef (Etemaad, Urdu), Kuduthala Ramesh (Mana Telangana) and Manda Kishor (Andhra Prabha).
