Mahabubabad health department bags best implementation award
District Health and Medical Department received an award and appreciation certificate for the successful implementation of ‘Measles and Rubella Vaccination’ programme in the district from the Special Principal Secretary of Health Rajeshwar Tiwari and Secretary of the Family Welfare Department Vakati Karuna.

Receiving the award, the District Medical and Health Officer Dr Sri Ram said that out of 1,77,933 children present in the district to about 1,75,700 children of below 15 years of age, MR vaccinations were administered successfully by conducting massive immunisation programme in about 173 sub-centres present under the 17 Primary Health Centres in the district deploying as many as 275 ANM’s, 935 ASHA workers from August 17 to September 15.
With the guideline issued by District Collector Dr. Preethi Meena, officials of Health Department implemented the programme of administering of MR vaccine to every children who were below 15 years of age visiting every school and house after a thorough inspection and conducting perfect survey, he added.
He conveyed his thanks to every official of the Education, Women and Child welfare, Revenue and Police departments for extending their cooperation for implementing the programme successfully in the district, thereby achieving the Best implementation Award with 98.7 percent standing on top position among all Districts across the State.
The District Immunisation Officer Dr. Rajesh and Coordinators were also present while receiving the award.
