Karimnagar: The crime under the commissionerate limits came under control due to the extensive patrolling of blue colts teams, said Commissioner of Police of V B Kamalasan Reddy.
The Commissioner chaired a meeting with the members of the blue colt teams here at Late Umesh Chandra conference hall on Thursday.
Speaking at the meeting, the top cop said that the blue colts teams had increased the prestige of police department by discharging their duties perfectly. Appreciation awards will be given to the blue colts for their best services, he added.
The police personnel must be physically and mentally fit in condition to discharge their duties perfectly. By maintaining healthy relations with the public, the police personnel must update the higher officials with latest information.
Extensive patrolling must be done in densely populated areas along with keeping an eye on the activities of anti-social elements.
Kamalasan Reddy suggested the officials to collect all the details of rowdy sheeters and keep a vigil on their moves. They were also told to submit day-to-day reports to their seniors.
Disciplinary action will be taken against those, who were irresponsible in discharging their duties and on those, who violate rules, he warned.
Manakodur Sub-Inspector Indrasena Reddy and the members of Blue Colts teams were present along with other officials.
