Foundation stone for KMTP on Oct 20
The Chief Minister, K Chandrashekar Rao, would lay foundation stone for Kakatiya Mega Textile Park (KMTP) on October 20, informed the Deputy Chief Minister K Srihari.

Of the required 2000 acres, 1200 acres land has been acquired for the park, coming up at Shayampet-Chintalapalli villages of Warangal Rural district at an expenditure of Rs 1150 crore. Nearly Rs 11,586 crores of investments are expected from the prospective investors, he said.
Speaking to presspersons in Hanamkonda on Wednesday, Srihari said that the park would offer direct and indirect employment to nearly 1.13 lakh people. The allotment of plots to the investors and signing of agreements would take place after the CM lays the foundation stone.
Referring to the filling up of 8,792 teacher posts through the TSPSC, the Deputy CM said that it is decided to take 31 districts in the State into consideration to ensure equal opportunities to the candidates in backward districts like Adilabad, Asifabad and others. Explaining the developmental and welfare activities being implemented in the State, Srihari noted that the government has sanctioned Rs 669 crores for an outer ring road (ORR) in Warangal. The ORR works would be launched soon.
Similarly, the works of second RoB at Fatima Nagar in Kazipet would also be launched soon. In a recent meeting with South Central Railway General Manager Vinod Kumar Yadav, a review on pending projects in the district has been conducted.
Proposed Veterinary College would start functioning from next academic year. A Sainik School would be set up with an expenditure of Rs 100 crores. 64 residential schools and colleges are sanctioned to Warangal district as part of government efforts to offer free KG to PG education, the Deputy CM said.
Efforts are on to lift 60 TMCs water from river Godavari by constructing a barrage at Tupakulagudem as part of Devadula lift irrigation scheme. Nearly 6.25 lakh acres would be irrigated in the district. Warangal would be benefitted most with SRSP revival project, he pointed out.
Hitting at the Opposition parties, the Deputy CM said Telangana is standing at top in terms of GDP growth and ease of doing business index. But the Opposition parties are not able digest the growth the TRS government is achieving and making false allegations.
Officials should stick to code of conduct Responding to a question on the tussle between Jangaon district Collector A Devasena and MLA M Yadagiri Reddy, Srihari stated that officials and elected representatives have a code of conduct. And the officials have to remain within their limits while speaking publicly.
ZP Chairperson G Padma, MP P Dayakar, MLAs D Vinay Bhasker and A Ramesh, KUDA Chairman M Yadava Reddy, Mayor N Narender and TS Sheep and Goat Development Corporation Chairman K Rajaiah Yadav were present.
