Warangal: The district TRS leadership is planning to mobilise about two lakh public for the foundation stone laying ceremony of Kakatiya Mega Textile Park in the district on October 22 by the Chief Minister, K Chandrashekar Rao.

Deputy Chief Minister K Srihari informed that nearly 1,800 RTC buses were being booked for the purpose.
He along with MLA Ch Dharma Reddy, Commissioner of Police G Sudheer Babu and District Collector Prashanth J Patil visited proposed textile park site at Geesukonda on city outskirts on Tuesday.

He reviewed the arrangements being made for the CM’s visit. A public meeting would be addressed by the CM after laying foundation stone. On the day, the CM would also lay foundation stone for Outer Ring Road (ORR) and Road Over Bridge near Fatima Nagar in Kazipet.

Srihari released a poster featuring the details how the Textile Park would benefit the people. He said the park would change the face of the district and create more than one lakh jobs to people.

Kakatiya Mega Textile Park was proposed by the CM with an objective of offering employment to weavers in the district and to make use of cotton production in the region. The closure of Azam Jahi Mills two decades ago rendered many workers jobless, he said.

Meanwhile, the TRS leadership has appointed constituency-wise in-charges to mobilise public for the meeting. MP P Dayakar, ZP Chairperson G Padma, Joint-Collector M Haritha and others were present.
