SKOCH Order-of-Merit Award for TSNPDCL
Northern Power Distribution Company of Telangana Limited (TSNPDCL) has bagged the ‘SKOCH Order-of-Merit Award’ for its innovative energy conservation initiatives.
Warangal: Northern Power Distribution Company of Telangana Limited (TSNPDCL) has bagged the ‘SKOCH Order-of-Merit Award’ for its innovative energy conservation initiatives.
The award was presented under the category of energy conservation. The company replaced existing 40 W incandescent bulbs with 9 W LED bulbs in domestic category thus saving 31 W of electrical energy.
NPDCL Director (Operations) B Narsinga Rao received the award from Skoch Editor and CEO Gurusharan Dhanjal at 50th SKOCH Summit on Wednesday in New Delhi. He said the award was won with collective efforts by employees under the guidance of the Company C&MD Annameneni Gopal Rao.
On account of replacement of 1, 69,000 bulbs, the company achieved about 5,239 KW demand reduction on the grid. The initiative has saved about 7.648 MU of energy in a year considering 4 hours of working of bulbs per day, Narsinga Rao said.
